Lives Her Life According to the Law of Attraction
Lilou Mace a French-American with a big passion for travel and interviewing spiritual self help teachers from around the world. She is the co-founder of the 100-day reality challenge and author of I lost my job and I liked it, which she wrote in March 2009 after being fired from her job. She lived in the United States for 8 years where she had an internet marketing business, now living in London. She has been inspired by Oprah to start her own YouTube channel www.youtube.com/liloumace that has now over 2.5 million video views. From interviews, to meditations and video blogs her dream is to one day have her own television talk show to inspire millions people to develop their potential and reach new levels of happiness and fulfillment.
Inside Out: What is the most fascinating part of what you do on your YouTube talk show called Soul Sessions?
Lilou: The most fascinating part for me is to interview world leaders and speakers in the area of personal and spiritual development asking them questions I have in my heart. I do a lot of those interviews via video Skype. When I interviewed Dr John Demartini, he was in Hawaii, and I was in France. I am fascinated about technology also and how it can help us to connect and learn.
One day I want to be paid for doing those interviews, but I love it so much, I can not stop, paid or not. My dream is guiding me. I believe this will happen very soon.
Inside Out: You believe in the law of attraction, what influenced you to become so interested?
Lilou: I got interested in 2002 about the law of attraction from book called “Excuse Me Your Life Is Waiting”. It was immediately interesting to me to know that we have ways to create things. So I looked more into it and in 2005 Sandy Grason and Laura Duksta and I, decided to create the 100-Day Reality Challenge and practice universal principals, mainly the law of attraction for 100 days at a time. It has been a success since the Secret came out, and now over 4,000 people from 125 countries are logged in this online community website and do blogs and video blogs to share their progress. The support has been amazing and the manifestations abundant in all area of life. You can check it out yourself at www.cocreatingourreality.com
Inside Out: What do you say to people who may doubt the law of attraction?
Lilou: They have their reasons to doubt. It might some from self doubt. I do try to convince anyone. The law of attraction is in action all the time. We are energy. It is amazing to test it. Try it with a parking spot. The trick though is to know for certain that your packing spot will be there, and trust me it will! It creates magic, it is fun and I always test it. I think it is important to try it with small things first and to understand that it is not about sitting in lotus position and wait for it to happen. You also have to engage yourself fully and know for certain. It is fascinating to me.
Inside Out: You have a new book out, what made you write your book?
Lilou: I wrote my book 'I lost my job and I liked it: 30-day law of attraction diary of a dream job seeker', after loosing my job here in London in February 2009. From the day to the next I was fired. I was immediately inspired to record my thoughts and journey as I would test the law of attraction to attract my dream job. It was an amazing experience and it has already touched thousands of lives. It is a wonderful feeling to have a book out, that is well received and making a difference. I feel blessed.
Inside Out: How long did it take to you to write your book?
It took me less than 6 weeks. The book was ready in 6 weeks and for sell on amazing, self published 2 weeks later. It has been an amazing experience
Inside Out: Of what aspect of your book are you most proud of?
Lilou: I really like how it all came together and in such a harmonious, natural way. It is an easy read, full of passion and that is a mirror. I am proud how fast it was done and published. I felt a sense of urgency and made it happen with the help of the Universe
Inside Out: What advice would you give someone who is not happy with their job or is having financial difficulties with their job?
Lilou: If you are in a job that you do not like, there is really something to look at and consider. I would recommend going on a little soul adventure in the countryside, or in a forest, or the ocean for at least 24 hours, and take deep breath, ask for guidance and really see what feels good in the job and what does not. We are all uniquely gifted. All of us! So to me there we all have a purpose in life and I think it is important to wake up and start asking ourselves what will make us happy, what we do naturally, what we have a passion for. Loosing a job is the best thing that can happen. I know this might be strange thing to say but the outcome is for the best. You are then forced to look at thing differently, grow, introspect and move forward. As human being we learn from suffering. So this is good news. If you are not happy, this challenge is going to help you discover something else. Start digging! Money is always an excuse. What is real is love. So open yourself up, be vulnerable, talk to your friends, and read my book!
Inside Out: What are your favorite things to do?
Lilou: There are many things I love doing. My interests have changes a lot the past 3 months as a consequence of re-opening my heart. Small things now fulfill me even more than before. I see life differently, with new eyes. I see that we are all one. Before it was a concept, now I feel it. So my needs are different now and so are my priorities. All this happened out of loosing my job. I am so grateful everyday for it. I love reading, smelling a flower, walking on the beach, having a long lunch with friends, taking a long bath. What really bring joy to my heart is interviewing is connecting with human beings on a deep level, put a smile on someone face, feel their fire in the heart and open their heart. I love to love. That is my favorite thing.
Inside Out: What is your favorite way to handle stress and difficult situations?
Lilou: Well I have to say that when there are some deep fears that grabs you it is not an easy thing to find a favorite thing to do...but I would really stop everything, and go in nature, walk in the wood, garden, on the beach, observe the nature. I learned recently from an interview I did of Satish Kumar, that you can communicate with nature. In this interview he told us how. It has been very interesting. He said that when you go in nature, walk each step as an adventure, in the now, in the unknown. You sense awake and you can then communicate with nature by observing it. It will answer your questions in unexpected and wise ways. I ask the nature to give me love, or answers.
Lilou: We are energy, everything is energy and so if you remember this, then we are all connected and I can tell you we are amazing, we are pure love energy, and a lot is possible. So just take a walk and reconnect with what is real. Those bills to pay are not so real. I know this probably sounds crazy to some. But what is real is love, and that you can co-create anything you want. So start loving yourself, and have faith that all will work out. By standing from that place a solution to your problem will come. A solution from your heart and not one of your ego or intellect those are the wisest answers.
Inside Out: What are you reading now? Are there any authors (dead or alive) that are your influences?
Lilou: I am reading several books from Dr Deepak Chopra right now: Syncro-destiny. I am also reading Alchemy of Love from Don Miguel Ruiz. I think those two authors are magicians. I always read few books at a time, and if one does not speak to me, then I will put it down, and maybe read it few months later, when I will be inspired to read it. That means I am ready to receive its teachings.
Inside Out: What is your favorite place to live and why?
Lilou: I love Hawaii, Asia and France. Right now I would like to live in France, and probably will soon. It is great to be back to my own country where I grew up. I enjoy the conversations, to share similar values, long lunches, etc. it is a great country.
Inside Out: What new projects are you currently working on?
Lilou: Right now I am working on having an inspiring television talk show. Oprah is one of my biggest inspirations. I totally connected with what she did when I met her the first time in Chicago in 2007 after declaring I would meet her. Two days later I did. I am also working on making more interviews for my YouTube channel, always ready to interview. I am also working on attracting my life partner that I feel I will meet soon; as my heart is super open now. So I am receptive to love.
Inside Out: How can one reach out to you?
Lilou: I have a website www.liloumace.com
Inside Out: Thank you Lilou
