Hosted the Better Me Luncheon October 22st and October of 2011 Ran the show and shared her poetry
Malachi London born in Detroit, MI has been reaching out to the community with her powerful words since the age of 9, one of the youngest to hit the stage of Def poetry jam of HBO. Malachi began speaking in Church programs from there she started competing all over the U.S. with her drastic topics of everyday society. As a young adult she has already powered enough confidence to America with her literature. Winning competitions after competitions, poetry slams after poetry slams her biggest achievement is empowering her youth. By building self esteem, confidence & success of young women and men of all ages, race & cultures. We ask her why she does this and why for so long? She says, “Poetry is an expression and I’m an expression, not keeping things bottled inside is the healthiest of all”. Slam poet, songwriter, actor and much more she is just as all round artist who believes, success is not how much money you earned but how much impact you left on this world. So far in 2011 Malachi has already won 2 more slams and been place in the national armature semi-finals; now work on her book release and also her album “Music for the soul”
